Blog Post #45: A life lesson from heaven

I have taken a break from HeavenUnveiled.com while I bought a house, moved, sold a house, and had personal changes. Most of what has been contained in these blogs is in my book Heaven Is Beyond Imagination. I encourage you to get a copy and read all that it tells you about heaven (and hell). Now I am thinking of telling you more about how knowing who God is based on seeing all He has prepared for us in His kingdom makes a difference in this life. Today I discuss the implications for the end times, which seem to be rapidly approaching.

One thing we see from the magnitude of love He has poured into perfecting heaven for our lives there is how true it is that we do not need to worry about what we will eat or wear. God has prepared food beyond anything available on Earth and eating is an option, not a requirement. Whatever we do eat is thoroughly consumed so there is no bodily elimination of the part we couldn’t use as we experience on Earth. The trees of life produce multiple fruits all the time. Some look like Earth fruits but their taste is superior. Usually they just melt in your mouth into a wonderful juice. Other things are prepared and none requires an animal of any sort to die. Nothing dies in heaven. One person said the food there is made from light. We do not have to pay for any of it nor do any work to earn it. It is all freely given to us as a gift. Similarly, whatever clothing we need is automatically provided for us, and that, too, without cost or effort.

If God can do that for us there, He can certainly do it for us here. We see in the Bible how he provided manna for the Israelites, and at one point provided quail to eat. He provided the widow of Zarephath with a bin of flour and a cup of oil that never ran out after feeding Elijah. Jesus fed five thousand men and an unknown number of women and children with just five loaves and two fish. He did it again for four thousand. He turned water into wine. This is important because we are rapidly approaching the end times. We will refuse the mark of the beast and as a result be unable to buy or sell. That means no groceries, no clothes, no fuel, etc. How can we get along without the mark of the beast? The world and those of weak faith will tell us we can’t and therefore we must take the mark of the beast. But the same God that did all of the above will miraculously provide all we will need as well. We must get to the point where we can trust Him fully. In Revelation Chapter 7 verse 3, God told the four angels, “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.”  Later with one plague, the plague of locusts like scorpions described in Revelation chapter 9, when the fifth angel sounded his trumpet, He told the angel to hold back until His servants had His seal on their forehead and then not to harm those with His seal. God will be with us and protect us during that hard time but several times Revelation tells us that we must have patient endurance and faithfulness.

Knowing more about God’s love, goodness, and character from the eyewitnesses will help us develop the patient endurance and faithfulness we will need.
